General Cleaning Services Various Developments

Sealed Proposals for a GENERAL CLEANING SERVICES VARIOUS DEVELOPMENTS, subject to M.G.L.c30B, & Prevailing Wage according to Ch.149. Sections 26 to 27H. Procurement statutes for Public Housing Developments at Woodland Towers (667-2), McSherry Gardens Apartments (667-1), J. Munger Apartments A & B Building (WHDC & 667-3 respectively) for the Watertown Housing Authority will be received at the Main Office of the Watertown Housing Authority until 11 A.M., Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at which time proposals will be publicly opened and read

The estimated cost for services is $75,000.00

Contract shall be initially awarded for a term of one-year (1) in duration, with annual renewal extension options of one (1) year not to exceed a total contract duration of three (3) consecutive years.
A prerequisite for the bid is that a company must have a reputable documented record in the commercial cleaning service industry sector for a minimum of 7 years.
Bids should reflect the total aggregate amount for the (1) year contract term plus an annual amount for the one (1) year extensions.

Proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, endorsed on the outside “PROPOSAL FOR GENERAL CLEANING SERVICES” with the bidder’s name, at the main office of the Watertown Housing Authority at 55 Waverley Avenue, Watertown, MA 02472 attn. Anthony DiGiovanni. The successful bidder shall enter into written contract with the Watertown Housing Authority within ten (10) days after notification of acceptance of the bid. The Watertown Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, wholly or in part, to waive informalities or irregularities in bidding, and to make awards in a manner deemed in the best interest of the Authority and the public.

Foundation Drainage Improvements Project

The Watertown Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Foundation Drainage Improvements Project, for the Watertown Housing Authority in Watertown Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by GCG Associates, Inc.

The Project consists of: Installation of 6” and 4” ADS perimeter drains and underdrains around the building, connection to existing downspouts and sump pump drains, remove and replace window wells add drain lines to window wells, installation of new 5’-wide bituminous concrete sidewalks, site restoration, loam, and seed, as well as other general site work as specified. Additive alternates include remove and replace concrete stairs with precast concrete stairs, as well as concrete stair and metal handrail repairs.

The work is estimated to cost $158,000 (includes all alternates).

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30 § 39M & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

This project is being electronically bid. Hard copy bids will not be accepted by the Awarding Authority. General Bids will be received until October 6, 2022, at 11:00 am. and publicly opened online forthwith. All Bids will be submitted online at www.projectdog.com and received no later than the date and time specified above.
General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the bid amount and made payable to the WATERTOWN HOUSING AUTHORITY.

There is a refundable plan deposit of $50.00 per set (maximum of 2 set) payable to Projectdog, Inc.
Refundable deposits must be a certified or cashier’s check. This deposit will be refunded upon return of all documentation in good condition within ten (10) days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise, the deposit shall be the property of Projectdog.

Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $25.00 for next day delivery, payable to the Projectdog, Inc., to cover mail handling costs.
